Electronic Waste Recycling
Electric and electronic waste (WEEE) recycling has offered recyclers some of the largest challenges.
The main reason is that the complexity and variety of the material, containing hazardous substances, such as lead, mercury or certain flame retardants but also precious metals like gold and silver, various other metals and a wide range of plastics. 50.000.000 tonnes of electronic waste is generated globally each year and with sales increasing all the time electronics recycling should be on the top of the agenda.
All items mentioned in the EU WEEE Directive Annex 1B can be processed in the Eldan
WEEE recycling plants with the exception of refrigerators & freezers, which require special processing in an Eldan refrigerator plant.
We offer standard plants with capacities ranging from 800-7.000 kg/production per hour but are also able to supply you with a tailormade line to fit your exact needs or even combined lines that can be used for the recycling of multiple materials such as cables & WEEE or tyres, cables & WEEE.
By processing electronic waste in an Eldan system, you will be able to retrieve clean fractions of the various materials of Ferrous and Stainless Steel (SS), various fractions of non-ferrous metals (Aluminium, Copper, Brass and Printed Circuit Boards (PCB's)), refining material containing e.g. Copper, Brass, Zinc, Lead and Precious Metals (PM), and an organic fraction with e.g. plastic, rubber, wood, textile and dust.
